Presentation Skills
Aims of course / Course description
Students will acquire basic presentation skills. They will be able to produce a coherent presentation about a chosen topic, using appropriate visuals and body language.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the Presentation Skills course, learners will be able to:
- Start, maintain and end a presentation;
- Use effective body language;
- Use effective eye contact and voice;
- Use appropriate signposting signals;
- Use non-verbal language;
- Catch audience attention;
- Build rapport with the audience;
- And use intonation to express, for example, interest, ask questions, show emotions, etc.
- Talk about data and graphs.
- Answer questions raised by audience;
Required materials
Students require:
- A booklet
- A paper dictionary
- Writing implements
- Smart phone, a laptop, or a tablet (for research purposes)
