What does the AGU Prep. Program look like?
• Many courses: from Reading 0 to Speaking 4; from Presentation Skills to Summarising; from English for Art & Design to English for Physics.
• Short terms: each term has 7 weeks of learning and teaching and one week of assessment.
• Placement in different classes for different subjects.
• Frequent changes to your classes, so that you are always meeting new people.
• Reasonable class sizes; for Writing and Speaking you will not normally have more than 20 classmates.
• An adult system where students earn credits the same as they will in Faculty
• Friendly and caring teachers who will encourage you and guide you, but not treat you like schoolchildren.
• So many self-access materials and other opportunities for self-directed learning and practice that nobody gets bored.
